For the original release of the Rending The Veil EP I challenged myself to experiment with how I approached the background layers of the tracks. Instead of using various synth/string patches and putting them through effects I decided to try and create the layers entirely out of trumpet parts put through various effects - spring/plate/convolution reverbs, EQs, and a litany of guitar pedal plugin/amp sim emulations.

These background layers became entire compositions in their own right, and I figured I would continue the experiment by releasing one as a standalone alternate version. I hope you enjoy this different dimension of Rending The Veil!
